You must watch the documentary first, it will give an appreciation and great context to the movie, you may not otherwise get. I loved this for what it was. Jennifer Lopez opening up about her personal life with honesty and vulnerability and learning to authentically love herself from inside her own heart instead of looking to someone or something else. The film has elements of deep emotion, laughter, JLo's usual abundance of talented choreography and "pretty" things, and I truly appreciated the "cheese" element of humour from the Zodiac signs, including Jane Fonda and Post Malone!
This movie is about the journey of a girl who fought her way to the top and in spite of her immensely successful career, her personal life was a disaster and how, in order to heal and stop the cycle, she had to go back to herself as a little girl and reconcile the self love she never had. It's about reflecting on one's life, identifying why the cycle keeps repeating, reconciliation of the soul and that at the end of the day, the "greatest love story never told" is about self love!
