Joyce Ward

Honestly, after reading many other reviews, I feel somewhat intimidated given I don’t share the rave opinions. However, I just can’t lie. While recognizing the fact of her popularity, her slow rise to fame, and a troubled childhood, this read needs more, for me. I believe her writing prowess is sadly lacking. I’ve begun the book twice. Each time I do not, and cannot feel engaged. I’ve been an avid reader since I could read, seven + decades ago. This book just doesn’t cut it.
