Amazing story well told. War scenes were believable and Doss’ heroism in face of intense fire was astonishing. Right from the earliest scenes, the film established that Doss, even though a smallish man, had endurance and strength and so could do the physical work to lower so many men to safety. Confronting but a great watch.
