This book is terrible. The writing is like a twelve year old wrote it. Plus it is very predictable. I suggest if you want a good mystery read anything by ruth rendell.

This story seems like it wasnt written by anne perry. It does not have the same action or spirit the older books do. I did not like it b c the story is too flimsy.

I did not like this book. It is SLOW and boring most of the way. By the time anything happens I’m yawning a so what? Ruth Rendell is a better way to go she has thrillers that dont disappoint.

I did not like this book as well as the first three. It is more about picketts friend nate. I thought the situations were a little far fetched, especially as nate is shot and hacked and keeps going, like a superman. Still able to drive himself 700 miles w no hospital stop. The third book in the series I feel is the best one. Also I do not like the character of mary beth, pickett’s wife. Too bossy and apparently pickett cannot make a decision w o her say so. The juxtaposition of joe as the main hero and timid husband does not fit.

I had hopes forthis book but there are so many dumb things. The last third of the book was amateurish and had so many flaws, such as the killer who wouldnt die which is used in so many slash movies and stories. I give it a c.

Yes, it’s another cat book but this series does not have kitties talking to each other and trying to work out crimes. No foul language,which is a plus to me. The stories are more involved, with 50 something man(not a qwilleran) who works at the university. I have enjoyed all of them so far.
