The art was beautiful, the story was very impressive. However, I did have a few issues with it myself.
(Spoiler-Alert)
I didn't like the way Joe handled 22's issue the entire time. As much as I could understand where he was coming from, having the same repetitive, failure of a life (which he perceived as so) it made sense that he was desperate for another chance once he thought he could finally fix everything. But I still find it very bothersome because there was more parts of him saying how 22's spark was Joes and not hers, and in the end he didn't even say to 22 that living was what she wanted, not just her one of a time feelings cause she was inside Joe's body.
Another issue: I hated the ending. It was disappointing. I hoped Joe finally realized his life was complete and then went to the afterlife rather than go back to living. I know this is a children's story, but I wish the ending brought some reality to it at least, which it did not. Cause let's be real, you can't avoid death, tragedies happen
Joe isn't the only special soul. In the end, he just went to do his same monotonous life but with a new perspective, which in theory is great, but that perspective should've made him realize he was happy with what he had and finally let go.
Also, I hated his mom
She was never supportive. And Joe was a very basic dreamer imo. Just because you have a spark, it doesn't mean you should not be trying to make a living out of it. Cause otherwise, wouldn't Joe be happier in the afterlife?
