It's funny, usually, I don't trust critics, they are often biased, and I trust the audience more. But for this I'm with the critics, and I'm surprised many people liked Avatar 2. Sometimes I wonder if the majority of people have simple taste and don't expect much from their movies, or if I'm judging it too harshly based on personal preference. There were so many things that could have been done to make it interesting....but everything was just wasted on stuff that could have been easily cut. It's just a beautiful, family-fun movie, the action is basic, the storytelling, overall story, and pacing was awful and dull, and the characters were just boring and the same. The only person that was enjoyable to watch was the main bad guy, and instead of exploring his complex relationship with his son, they focused on sad boy and his sad pet whale.
