Went to see the Sonic Movie 2 movie yesterday, and can definately say that it is definately an amazing movie thought-out movie to see on the big screen, and really thought-out storyline, and you can tell that the directors are really caring about this video game movie franchise and not just to make a box-office hit for the sake of it, as the action, family scenes, emotional scenes, on-the-edge of your seat storyline; keeping you excited on what will happen next, and choice of amazing locations in the movie, was absolutely spot-on all the way through and didn’t get dull at all in the 2-hours of the movie. And I really appreciate that straight-away the movie starts off where the first movie ended, which I really appreciated as straight-away, the movie went straight to the main-point of the movie, and quickly introduced the main characters, which was wonderful, as it kept me excited and really loved the whole 2-hours of the movie, as there wasn’t any dull moments at all and was plenty of laughs & jokes, even one point, there was a scene which didn’t correctly join,-up properly to the next one, but they did that as they wanted to keep in the laughs for that scene which is good, as they really cared a lot about the laughs in the story.
I can definately say that the new Sonic Movie is a whole lot more better then the first one, and I can see why they only introduced Trails & Knuckles in the second movie, as introducing them in the first movie wouldn’t give a chance for Sonic to get introduced to the rest of the characters in the movie, and would of just felt like introducing Trails & Knuckles in the first movie would of been rushing into the movie franchise, so I’m glad they balance it out and introduced them in the second movie once Sonic got introduced to the others in the first movie, and the have done an amazing job balancing out on when what characters get introduced in franchise, and because of this, it keeps them a chance to get the audience excited for the next movie.
You can also tell that they care a lot about the movie franchise by watching the end-credit scene, where it gets you really excited for Sonic Movie 3 (whenever that will be), and I hope Jim Carrey will come back for the third movie as well
On a unrelated note, you can definately see the amazing locations they choice in the movie to be based in the upcoming Sonic Frontiers game, and I can definately see a lot of the scenes & action from the movie being put in that game, if they develop it well and not rush into development.
