While I can see the good intentions behind this movie (Like giving ray a tiny bit of a character arc), overall it felt like a contrived mess consisting of busy work plot devices, cringe worthy dialogue, and an extremely disappointing ending.

You know, this movie felt like an excuse for just a dumb DC action movie with shock factor - the plot idea was great but the execution was kind of ruined by all the mcguffins.

The movie is sad, funny, shocking, touching, and disturbing through the various acts. Joker made me uncomfortable, very uncomfortable. But not all good movies are supposed to be happy feel-good stories - especially one that shows the "descent into madness of the Joker". To be honest, Joker is the only movie that I've watched in the last decade that's made me this uncomfortable. Overall, in today's drab landscape of reboots and woke culture movies, Joker was a home run and something completely different, creative, and innovative compared to what we're used to.
