I have read the 4 books in this series of RAMESES, he was a great propagandists. But who was going to argue with a God walking among men? Christian Jacq is amazing in bringing this Pharaoh to life once again. Showing Rameses who was a great warrior leader and expected his warriors to show their confidence and courage in war. He has a handful of friends who are trustworthy. The magic of ancient Egypt I love too escape to, especially when we see so many unnecessary horrors taking place in the world today, through greed.

I loved this book. But I ❤️ all things about ancient Egypt, reading is escaping so many of the horrors we find ourselves in today. Rameses the Great was truly one of, if not the longest living Pharaohs of ancient Egypt. I love that Christian Jacq mixes historical facts with a great story. Rameses was a man, living the part of a God as all Pharaohs did. They had to make this work or Egyptian life would fall apart, Rameses was successful in this part he played. Christian Jacq is a great story teller.
