From the very beginning, an extremely poor rip-off of the original - like an AI mutation with poor acting, annoying characters, terrible music, and just not fun. The first at least had pacing, build-up, and you care about the characters..cheesy? Absolutely. Flawed? For sure. Original? 100%. This rendition is hollow, unsatisfying, and a CHORE to watch. The question is..WHY was this made? What is it trying to say? Just a corporate money-grab with no soul. 'Hollywood' needs to stop making this terrible schlock. Leave these movies alone, throw away your charts, and get an original idea for a change.

What is going on with you, Hollywood? You had so much potential yet you squandered so much on poor writing and pitiful plot. Destroyed it with greed and so many dead horses…beaten again and again. You’ve become a wasteland, desolate of creativity, dried up ideas, and a mirage of what you used to be. Just a raggedy man. Also seriously..you ended the movie with clips of Fury Road?? Jfc, stand on your own two feet!! 2/5

Want some fun..? Read through all the BLATANTLY obvious bot reviews in Google..they start with Madame Web (or not) and then turn into a review of XMen or some completely different movie, 4-stars across the board. Riiiiiight.. Madame Web was soooo terrible, that they are SO desperate to get good reviews to make up for completely bombing. Even these ‘fake’ reviews can’t resuscitate this schlock back to life (did you like that 😉). Steer clear of this awful “movie”..Hollywood is COMPLETELY out of touch.

These reviews..I struggle to understand the hype over this show. It’s…so..BORING! It also insists on its own self importance. There has to be another term for ‘Hollywood’s character development (like whitewashing), everyone is beautiful, perfect, and struggles are surface level. I’m in Season 1 and the premise was at least a decent ‘what if’ scenario that got me interested. The execution is shoddy, plot very predictable, script works in some spots but drags..and though I will admit some good use of real-life events and people, it still feels spoon fed and hokey. I appreciate if this show based a lot in realism…but so much of it is annoyingly unrealistic. Again..very surprised by all rave reviews here.

Look, I love the homage..I was REALLY loving where it was going, the style, the mystery, the creepiness..but it was COMPLETELY thrown away! Why?! ***Semi-Spoilers*** I feel this was such a missed opportunity to really delve into a whole new layer of psychological thriller for the MCU. By episode four, all the answers and mystery is revealed..in the most callous and casual way! I completely lost interest and the mystery was solved..what’s the point? Sure there are some loose ends and plot points..that even don’t get resolved. But it feels like someone started with a great idea and then a producer or executive got a hold of it and threw it all out the window. Then packed it with two-dimensional characters, day-time tv tropes, and useless sub-plots..just..useless. Gah!! This frustrates me so much..such a great idea that amounted to nothing!

The movie itself said it well enough..the writer backs himself into a corner and doesn’t know how to end it. That unfortunately transfers to the movie. Moves way too fast & clunky, forced chemistry, looooong boring and drawn out plot, and not scary in the least. Makes me pine for the original which was super corny, but spent more on character development. Completely missed opportunity for solid, modern take.
