I came in the theaters with high hopes, living all the other films. The trailer looked good, but the movie was practically garbage. There was way too much going on that resulted in nothing. 1) Maxime’s cockroach plans/ stupid revenge 2) Weird teenager that did nothing except do a useless heist 3) A weird rich lady who tries to kill Lucy because she messed up her hair 4) A random karate scene 5) The Mega Minions who literally did nothing 6) Gru’s son 7) A stupid tennis scene 8) Margo’s new school It was like a two year old wrote this thing and tried to include every single on of their ideas. Must’ve spent like two bucks to produce this movie because it did not at all meet the standards of the previous five movies which were amazing and hilarious. Not funny, and the personalities were all off. Gru was embarrassing and NOT despicable which is the point of the movie as it is the title of the movie. Lucy is just weird and over dramatic. And I was really hoping for Dru to be in it because he is actually funny, especially him and Gru together, but he appeared for about two seconds at the end. If they make a #5, hopefully they will have the old writer of the originals.
