If I weren’t so committed to the characters, I would have probably put it down. Too many repetitive plot threads. Day after day in Shinovar going to temples. Day after day battling over the same patch of ground in Azir. Day after day tripping out in the cognitive realm. Day after day of people “whispering” every 3rd line. A few golden moments sprinkled in boost its score for me. Nonetheless, the gist is simple. Last time, Kaladin’s transformation had me in tears. This time it had me saying out loud “can we please get on with it?!”.
