Just completed Last of Us 2. Just wow.
A tour de force. Examines all of your emotions and biases. Drags them all through the terror mill and spits them out on a blood soaked bench. Interspersed with poignant beauty such as when Ellie plays an acoustic version of Take Me On to her girlfriend. No spoilers here but the game had me sweating, swearing, ducking, diving, throwing my controller, running from the room for fresh air and at once both joyful at and contemptuous of humanity. Play it but you have to play Part 1 first. Part 2 builds on it and takes it up several notches in violence, tenderness and goes to new darkness of the soul levels.
