My son when he turned 12 wanted to have a 'Radiohead' themed birthday party because that was his favourite band. By an amazing twist of fate, the day we celebrated his birthday was the same day 'The Smile' was performing at Massey Hall in Toronto. I got him tickets as a surprise and what an incredible experience it was to be able to share that performance with my son. We are always discussing all the depth, diversity, beautiful layers, captivating melodic content, technical proficiency, rhythmic based musicality and the perfect blend of chaos and harmony that Thom, Jonny and Tom create in the studio and live. What a gift to have this new album 'Wall of Eyes'! I was so hoping 'Under Our Pillows" would be on the new album and thankfully it was! Hope to see 'The Smile' again when they return to Canada.(My son is leaning Thin Thing and Jonny is a big inspiration to him and why he wanted to learn guitar)
