There was a Tamil film called Keladi Kanmani (1990) which is the benchmark for thrilling emotional finishes. Premalu has a terrific filmmaking unit especially in this era of garish colors and senseless lighting like in Karthik Subburaj movies. Utterly bad songs. Incredible actors, though plagued by poor, or say weak characterizations. Everything's easily accessible for everyone. Lots of only-could-happen-in-cinema set-ups. The IT company and the formulaic scenes. No surprises or creativity especially with hero's life or career or any impactful emotional staging (the train scene had the opportunity and the Hyderabad tour scene as well) to bring the couple lot deeper in the audience's emotion. The climax is the icing on the cake as how dumb the director is.
Mamitha Baiju is the soul of the film and holds it blood, flesh, bones, sweat and tears all the way.
