This is a 'In Name Only' adaptation. Events and dialogue from the books are few and far between. Themes are dropped or ignored, narrative is overly focused on going from 'Cool Scene' to 'Cool Scene'. The unnecessary changes made by the writers and show runner have backed the story into a corner that I seriously doubt they can get out of and back to adapting Jordan's epic. This isn't Robert Jordan 's Wheel of Time, it's Rafe's Sled of Time. If you, like me, love Jordan's story, this is not the adaptation for you. You'll be angered within twenty minutes of the first episode as this "modern take" on the story uses one of the most criticized tropes in storytelling: Fridging.
