This adaptation of Color Purple was the BEST of them all. I normally fall asleep at the movies when a musical movie is playing. Not only had I worked an overnight shift with no sleep and wasn't feeling top notched I stayed AWAKE the entire time and making plans to see it again!!! What an awesome emotional Rollercoaster feel good movie!!
