Anything I mention here you have seen or worked out in trailer.
Glass is the very definition of anti-climax and an extremely boring venture kept together purely by James Mcevoy's amazing performance and split personalities. Essentially this film is about his character and how it deals eith the possibility that super heroes are mentally ill. He should be getting recognition on a grande scale for his character performance in this. It's truly unsettling and the best thing about the film. I feel sorry for him as he carried the movie to being something more than terrible to mediocre.
The story is weak, full of plot holes and an utter waste of brilliant characters. Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson hardly do anything and their brilliant roles from previous movies are wasted here. There's no magic and there's no heoric act or moment that makes you tingle with excitement like the previous movies offered.
Glass doesn't have any exciting action sequences, no awesome amazing fight between The Beast and the Overwatcher. When they do fight its short and unspectacular. Mr.Glass spends most of the movie twitching.
The story is aweful. They are made to feel like they aren't super heroes yet none of them once try to prove they are like you would in real life.
Bruce Willis doesn't show he CAN bend steel or CAN read someone's mind.. he just sits there with a sullen face accepting it with no arguing. He isn't interested in escaping, doesn't try to find his son and doesn't do anything of important. His ending story in this movie is possibly one of the most unbelievable anti climaxed and aweful moments in movie history for a character that was previously generated so well in Unbreakable. It's really really stupid.
Anyway, they all end up kept in a facility with cameras yet the security is terrible and even though two of these captives are mass murders they are still allowed to interact with people unchained with no security guards present at all times.
The Beast can be controlled with flashes of light and it doesn't cross his mind once to just cover his eyes with his hands and just barge out.
People walk freely into their cages with food and none of the captives once think to grab them or try to escape (again, stupid).
The ending is shockingly bad with no heroic deaths, no magic moments of superhero wonder and the twist is just down right offensive as it makes no sense why the "bad ones" did what they did over the time it took when they could have just done it quick and silently (trying not to spoil it).
Writer should be ashamed of himself. He needs to start asking what the fans want and the audience instead of going on a self indulged task of trying to do the opposite of what we expect, just to be different.
We needed to see these characters interact more and fight and team together as strong heroic people showing they are super human. Instead though we end up witnessing old people in cells mumbling about doing nothing you would expect of them.
So frustrated for this movie as Glass should have been a really easy movie to make given you had already built the groundwork for these characters. A simple good vs evil story with Mr Glass and the Beast going on a mission with Bruce Willis and son trying to stop them would have sufficed.. it didnt need to be deep and dark with a stupid twist whilst trying to question what makes someone a hero or not.
Thumbs down.
