I was scrolling through my news feed and came upon this book and I was so sidetracked that I hadn't had the time to read it until now.
The book generally is so good and well-written. I am obsessed with characters that I do not know what to do after reading the book (maybe re-reading it idk it's a dead end). I love that the book referenced a lot of pop culture moments and famous memes when Alex and Henry texts each other that I myself see myself laughing even though I don't react to those quite often.
Historically-wise, I'm so amazed how the book caught the essence of both the White House and the English Royalty. Seeing historical artifacts, stories, and myths was truly the cherry on top, and how Henry delivers those stories to Alex and how they relate their relationship to that of old romance mythologies. While I also enjoyed seeing famous quotes from people from the Classical & Medieval eras when Alex and Henry exchange email messages. History, Huh?
Truly it was an amazing read and I hope I will come across several books that looks like this again. It gave me a wonderful perspective about love and I'm so proud because I positively relate to this book as well (in a way). And as a 15-year old, I know someday I will come upon this book again and realize its effect on me and how it shaped my mind and personality. As cliche as it can get, I really love this movie and I can say that it's really worth reading.
