Wow reading the reviews has made me appreciate this movie more I have a friend who is manic and I could see her over functioning and manipulating situations and not allowing boundaries of others like the Mrs.Clasky character all in the name of being "nice" such a loaded nice. I loved the grandmother and the line..ita not such a terrible thing to realize you love your husband. I can understand how torn Flors character feels. She is happy to earn more money but struggles to maintain her personal boundaries and trust me until you are close to someone truly manic. You just cannot understand how they will take your choices away. Several reviews complain about how Flor should not have taken away Cristina's opportunity she was offered by the claskeys but I get it . They were losing themselves and their culture to this family...the Tea Leon character that was just going to eat her alive over time and own her...Flor was losing her daughter and plus she knew she could no longer stay having feelings for mr claskey . Parenting is hard flor did what she thought was best even if it meant breaking the daughters heart.
