I can only muster a "half-decent at best" review of this show. It's super pretentious and that forced woke-ness makes it pretty antithetical to the whole liberal+progressive cause. The show is cute every now and then, plus the production value is good when you consider the fact that they had to really create a make-believe team. But when you look at some of the players (McAdoo, Collins and the other back-up) you really wonder "really is that the best the casting director could come up with". Everyone is so just trying hard to be two-goody shoes that (as the British would say it) is "such a massive bore". The show is rarely funny, gets football quite wrong, is almost daft about the English/British culture and some of the acting really questions how much do these Emmys get bribed to be bagged.

This is actually a very good movie. Please don't be fooled by the low ratings. It actually is a wholesome movie which intertwines simple yet tough-knots that both teenagers and parents/adults deal with, ranging from insecurity, sex, mental health issues, love, existentialism, virtual escapism.

There's no violence whatsoever. And I like myself some artsy movies with good cinematography and set design, but this movie is just that. 2 hours of nothing but pretty shots and some sorta of flashback into abaondoned and squalid 80s NYC.

This movie was well beyond its time. Quite an underrated meta-movie tbh

Not that great, 5 episodes into the season 1 and it feels like DC kept a tight budget. Cyborg just looks disappointing and the set design can alter between amazing to just poor. The characters are interesting, but the production needs better budgeting especially for the CGI

I can't even begin tell you how good this show is. Watch it and live it!!!

Together together is a movie which is unexpectedly funny and expectedly feel-good. Patti Harrison is a breath of fresh air. She slides into the role effortlessly and I definitely have a huge crush on her. Ed Helms adds life to a character, that I never thought he could pull off and maybe his slapstick roles before makes you feel so. He is a brilliant comic actor, but this added a new layer of depth to his character portrayal. Also a mention for the Gay bestfriend, I'm sorry I didn't find out his name before writing this, but he was brilliant. It seemed like a stereotype, but it didn't in some way. The character was funny and the actor did a fantastic job not to make him look like a stereotype.

Very loud, overrated and just violence for the sake of it. Kaithi was such a well-done masala potboiler but Vikram is just an overcooked, underprepared ramble. No justice to the immense talent of Sethupathi, Fahad and even Chemban Vinod. This movie could have been far better if it didn't have to go out of it way to please the ego the size of Kamal Hasan.

This is a brilliant dark comedy. It really is a test of your privileges and the series sinks deep to find it's depth. The background score is perfect, it just send shivers throughout each sequences giving you a feeling of the dark undercurrents even in the midst of the picturesque foreground. Mike White skillfully channels the series through the shallowness and deep insecurities of human nature; power dynamics between the haves and have nots; exploited, exploiters and those who skid between both layers; skin and the currency it offers. There are quite a few sub-themes, but just like life and the human mind the series only offers a peak into as much as it can comprehend, the rest is left to our imagination and that's a good way to leave things.

Surprisingly funny, emotional, attentive and not a “woke for the sake of woke” offering.
