The movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 overall was good, but it could have been much better.
Spoilers ahead:
The movie is correct when it comes to Comedy, however the horror and mystery part could have been worked on better.
The first thing that I felt it shouldn't have was the first song too soon. The movie shows a short part of the ghost getting trapped, and then it shows how the two main characters met. However, shortly after that, there is immediately a song. This breaks off the build of the movie, as the song interrupts the story line too early.
Secondly some of the comedy scenes were a bit too forced. For example, when the ghost attacks the Chota priest and picks him, it was a bit too forced. Even though its comedy, this seemed to overdo it.
The horror parts were there, but they weren't strong enough. A few more horror parts would have made things a bit more interesting, because without enough horror, the movie was full comedy. With half the characters having some funny aspect to them throughout the film. With all these english horror movies coming out, many people of the new age have adapted to the kind of horror they have seen with the American movies. So a lot of people in the audience have a different idea of horror these days.
The mystery part wasn't there for a long time. It only appeared in the end, which didn't seem like too much of a mystery, but it seemed like a sudden reveal. For mystery, maybe they could have added clues leading to the truth of the ghost throughout the movie from the beginning. That would have made the audience have more to think about. Even when the ghost came out of room, the audience knew about it, since they saw it on screen. It was spoon fed to the audience so there was nothing for the audience to really think about. There was no real mystery the audience had to search for. Including the audience to search for what the story could actually be, would help make the audience focus more on the movie.
However, the movie was good, I feel it could have worked on a bit of the things I mentioned up so it would be a much more interesting film. But yes, I certainly liked the movie, the casting choices were good, and the make up was well done as well.
