Caused me physical pain to sit through thus movie.
Glad others liked it, but I certainly did not.
The acting was mediocre, and laughably bad at times. I understand good child actors are hard to come by but the facial expressions were so misdirected that it completely took me our of the movie.
The camerawork was quite stylistic, but nor to my taste though I understand the appeal. To me it seemed too over-exposed, and the many, may, may wideshots too away from any horror factor.
One of the defining characteristics that makes FNAF scary is that claustrophobic, trapped feeling - knowing you are trapped and being actively hunted by an unknown and unstoppable force.
And that weird friendship montage with the animatronics felt so unnecessarily stupid.
With such a strong and infamous subject material I was really hoping for something better, or at least tolerable. Instead I was presented with a trope-y, predictable, poorly made kid horror movie. There's more horror in Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids than this.
