I didn't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this. Lured by clever editing in the promos, I bit the bullet and bought both seasons - something I don't usually do. I blame Mark Hamill. I love all his work, so I assumed that this would be good as well, otherwise he wouldn't have associated his name with it, right? Well, you know the saying about assumptions...
Admittedly, I have only just finished watching the first season, and to say I am astounded that they were able to make a second is an understatement.
The acting felt forced, and I guess this is probably as a result of the cast not really gelling together. I don't know. But as the season progressed, the actors could be forgiven; the plot holes and inconsistencies are even the best actors' worst enemies.
This had the potential for being an outstanding gem, but alas, the scriptwriters, director and film editing let the whole team down. Having said that, I still have Season Two to watch. I paid for the damn thing, so I feel obliged to watch it, even though I know I will never get those hours back. Maybe I need to have a few drinks beforehand, or at least lower my expectations.
