The series is over and I can leave a review of the season as a whole.
Was it faithful to the comics? For the most part.
Was She-Hulk's characterization accurate? Yes.
Did I enjoy it as a comic book reader? Yes. Is it the best or the worst MCU show? No.
Most importantly: This is NOT an action TV show. It is a legal show (think Suits) with action/superhero elements. If you go into it with that perspective, you will be pleasantly surprised by the action and not disappointed by the quirky ways in which conflict is resolved.
I, personally, did not note any misandry in the show. However, it does drag the toxic members of the Marvel fandom through the ringer. The creators of the show were also extremely tuned in to how the haters would react to the show and they made fun of those haters.
I'm not going to mention the CGI as that has been spoken about ad nauseum.
The only thing that I took issue with was the season finale. While extremely on-point for something in the comics, it perhaps could have been executed slightly better for TV. The episode was also excellent at lampshading the MCU's formulaic nature
Kudos to Tatiana Maslany for her performance as She-Hulk and an extra special kudos to Patty Guggenheim for absolutely breaking me with her performance as Madisynn.
