It might veer on the side of 2.5 stars, but this is not really a winner for me. Let’s start with the positives. The show has good casting and an entertaining premise. I’m always a sucker for shows where troubled city people move out to the country to heal. The first couple of episodes showed promise, and I found them to be quite above average. The problem is that by the halfway point of the show, every single plotline is some sort of romance with the characters acting more and more ridiculously to justify the stuff that the writers want to get to. There was some interesting stuff here at the beginning, but it was all thrown away in favor of vanilla romance stuff and love relationships that are so complicated and ridiculous they are best described as pentagons. If that’s your thing, then that’s fine, you’ll probably love this show, but it wasn’t mine and so I wasn’t able to finish it.
