Trash. You don’t need to defame the original Naruto characters to make the new generation seem better. Boruto would be GREAT if they respected the original characters and their key traits but they practically rewrote most of them. It’s just lazy writing to completely change characters personalities to fit the story better. It’s disappointing because a lot of us have been watching Naruto since it first started and we were genuinely excited to see more of the naruto universe. The fight scenes and animation looked like they had so much potential! But you can’t spent 720 episodes making us fall in love with characters and then trash them at every opportunity in the next installment. We went from learning life lessons from these ninja and now some are despicable, others useless, and then they wasted the rest. At this point I would have preferred if the show ended after Shippuden because Boruto ruined my perception of Naruto and so many other characters. Even the lessons and emotions that they left us. As a side note, idk who was approving character design in Boruto but…. I felt like I was looking at amateur fan art. Every other character looks like their distant American cousin who works an office 9-5…..
