I was not in the mood to watch a teen highschool comedy tonight but I told myself to expand my horizons and I'm quite glad I did.
This movie is one of the most emotionally relatable movies I've watched and is now a personal favorite.
Being a recently graduated highschool student, I easily gravitated towards the themes in this film. I myself remember how when it came to life and what I thought of myself, it was very hard to be positive. Those feelings where it's hard to like yourself because it seems no one else does. Where it feels you'll never be the popular or privileged or get your crush and have to accept that. And desperately hating the world and people for not being able to look past the meaningless glamours of life that you dont have and simply value you and your character. Etc. Even though I'm male, I very easily understood a lot of the themes in this film, it was nicely portrayed.
I definitely recommend.
And for everybody else who's felt this way in the reviews, where yall been?? Lets be friends lol!
