This was a different kind of drama and I appreciate it. Raw, gritty, and intriguing. It touches on a variety of relationship issues, from mothers raising sons to Black love. Moreover, it speaks to several different harsh realites in America today, especially for people of color, including a horrible social service system and gentrification. Also, kudos to Teyanna Taylor. She played the heck out of
this role. You can see her New York roots through and through. It's worth the watch.
