This show depicts with great accuracy the tragedy of the charismatic phenomenon within the modern church - the whole idea that earthly blessings and wealth as evidence of faith. Casted under a very thin veil of doing the Lord's work with the constant refrain "God is good.....all the time", one sees where the true centre of the heart laid - in the world. No expense was spared in the opulence and lavishness within the walls of the Greenleaf house, all from church funds - and of course, when the trials of life hit, where was the God of the Bible??. In fact, the church was just used as a 'prop' to support the lust of the flesh and the eyes. For those of us who are lukewarm in faith, this series tells us all to look at the foundations of our faith and if possible, to get back to the God of the Bible!
