I wanted to like this movie, not Spike's best work. I read all the reviews and tried to see how its rated so high. I do appreciate the use of monumental, emotional events in history but the movie was long, dragged out and required more meaning to the plot for you to feel these men journey. The biggest thing I would love to tell writers and directors you don't need to add an unnecessary roles (SON) in a movie, its a distraction when you want to concentrate on the movie purpose (I couldn't stop fast forwarding on the son parts). One thing Spike Lee did right was have a star studded cast because if not no one would've watched it.
