Plain and Simple

Bizarre writing disconnected from the audience. Much like Kurt Sutter’s descent into oblivion after his successful SoA series, Brian Watkins seems to think 'If I write they will listen'. The difference is that the Outer Range creator writes pretentiously with no proven success in TV. A quick search for his previous work shows a list of disjointed and similarly uncured work. The low camera angle closeups on suspenseful dialogues is a cheap imitation of iconic movies such as The Shining. Doubt this will come back for more than two seasons.
