This movie was awful and painful to watch.
It not only disrespected but also depictures the iconic figure of Marilyn Monroe.
My one star is only for actress Ana de Armas who gave an outstanding performance without hesitation. However, the script didn't help her and having her doing so many sex scenes (specially the jfk one which was my breaking point honestly) and having her basically naked the whole movie was beyond unnecessary.
I get that they were aiming to show that Marilyn was treated and seen as some sort of an "object of desire" by men at that time but this just is not the way to do it.
It was supposed to be a biopic about the biggest icon of all, yet, the movie throws dirt on her name.
The oversexualization of her is terrible and makes the movie so damn vulgar. Making clear again that men can't and shouldn't write women.
