I only watched bc the ‘about’ section on paramount said it was a psychological thriller. I thought it was going to be a major twist like she is dreaming all of this or something mysterious w the house. Reddit said it was a biblical allegory. okay i can see that now . But this movie irritated me so bad bc baby them ppl woulda been outta my mf house!!! ughhh i hate to leave bad reviews on movies but i tried to push thru and wish i hadnt .

If you never read the book ( i never had) I would google a quick plot synopsis and then watch the movie. I watched the novie first and i was hooked. It was so intricately told and it didnt even feel like 2 hours.

This was not at all what I was expecting and I couldnt understand why it was cancelled, after barely watching the first epidsode. But now I am on episode 4 and i see why it was cancelled , It starts with the main character looking for his father but they find him halfway throught the second episode. I feel like the first season should have been about them finding his father and then they would have had momentum for more seasons. That is why it is minus one star.

The first few episodes were so unnecessary. The action doesn’t really start until the episode called “The Brother”. The plot was good but this would have been better as an 1.5 hr movie.

I really thought the hospital was in on it, harvesting people for their organs bc why did the doctor take money from the paramedic ? Why was the creepy old receptionist and in take lady so hung up on what blood type ppl had ? That would have been a better Plot 🥴. But all of that was worthless . It went a totally different direction than I had hoped and it wasn’t that great. I give it two stars for the general feel of the mood; it definitely gave the creepy ominous factor.

Very slow. A lot of the beginning could have been left out . The concept was unique but it fell flat .
