Really enjoyed this cosy light-hearted series set in beautiful rural Wales. It is refreshingly different, but don't take it all too seriously and just sit back and enjoy the acting and the tongue-in-cheek humour in each of the episodes. Timothy Spall is a brilliant British actor and I would watch anything that he appears in. The two main characters are John Chapel and DS Janie Mallowan. Timothy Spall plays John Chapel and there is a wonderful chemistry between him and Gwyneth Keyworth who plays DS Janie Mallowan. Looking at the different reviews it would appear that this series is maybe like marmite - you will either love it or hate it. Personally I loved it as it is well worth the watch and I am really hopeful for a second series. Thank you BBC. 5*****

Here's to Anyone

This is quite simply the best album I have ever heard - and I have thousands of albums. Rumer has a beautiful voice, reminiscent of the late Karen Carpenter, so it is always a delight to hear her sing, however this album has it all. Rumer sings the songs of the much under-estimated singer / songwriter Hugh Prestwood, and she sings them to perfection. This is Rumer's fifth studio album with fifteen tracks and not one of them disappoints. If you like wonderful, well-written songs that are packed with emotion and sensitivity, then listen to this masterpiece. It is no surprise that this album has received worldwide critical acclaim. An absolutely brilliant album that is masterful in both the writing and the delivery - this album delivers, and boy does it deliver ! Pure perfection . . .
