I Love CH and he played this role chillingly well. I hated the Hitchcock cross over though. At times it was confusing, and totally not needed. You could do a separate show on where and who Hitchcock got his motivation from. It wasnt needed or wanted here. Hunnam and Metcalf were brilliant though. I found at times Charlies accent went from "Ed" to sometimes "Jax" and often "Irish". The higher tone voice was def the creepiest part especially in the first episode. It seemed to lessen after his mother died (I know part of the storyline)
