Kanguva(2024) Review by VK: Visuals are captivating, director has done the best he can to make the grandeur of the visuals speak for itself. World building is awesome and the camera angles do justice as well. Suriya's performance when playing the two characters: Francis and Kanguvan/Kanguva is to be lauded. He has good chemistry with the kid Poruva/Zeta, who also did justice to his role. Disha... Umm I'm js gonna say that this role was unnecessary and if removed, could make the movie better. Bobby was underused but played his role well. DSP's music was fine, but the sound was a bit too loud for my liking. It wasn't the worst experience I had, but could be better ofc. Plot is OK, first 30 mins is not good. Typical masala elements detract from the positives. Good morals abt forgiveness and keeping up promises. One last thing is that the English dubbing by the Russian scientists was not good. Pls tey to focus on this in the sequel, and you'll get a Hollywood-esque film. Karthi's cameo was great, I'm waiting for the sequel!! Let's get this one to a good box office collection, and support improvements in our film quality and scale. - VK
