Albert Maldonado (Bodyware Fitness Systems)

Led by many positive reviews, I was eager to watch this but I wish I had never pressed play. Our family has digested so many Korean, Japanese and Chinese movies of all genres that the Pulse has to be at the bottom. The first 30-40 minutes was promising but it dragged and dragged and attempted some poetic social commentary on what ones life will evolve into courtesy of the internet. Big fail!!! Yes, there was some interesting scenes but not enough to form any cohesive storyline. Our family rated this movie as Whack (you'll beg for those 2 hrs back).

Highly disappointed! Love the found-footage genre when it is done right like Paranormal Activity and the extremely well acted The Taking of Dorothy Logan. This was so boring and not enough to keep me engaged. I expected a great twist or an unconventional ending like many Japanese or Korean horror movies but the pay off for Noroi was anti-climactic. It was slow. After sometime, couldn't care less for any of the characters especially Kobayashi. Mr Hori was interesting but that's it. Pass on this and watch Rec or The Taking of Dorothy Logan to be truly horrified.

Spielberg is definitely in my top 5 of all-time directors and storytellers but The Fablemans is strictly for uber fans. It was quite boring and had no peaks and valleys, kinda flatline. Interesting to know how Spielberg derived some of his style like the angst he experienced growing up and translating that to characters and storylines on his later movies. His uncle, played by Judd Hirsch, was great. His advice was spot on and the advice from John Ford, legendary director was also pertinent. This was definitely a clout movie. If it was a lesser director in stature, I don't think it would get the accolades. Please, bring it in your next movie Spielberg.

Much anticipated movie that fell flat on its face. The premise was good. The kids were great. A bit confusing as to whose story arc was the focus. Granted, the myth was the canopy on which the characters built upon but was this a story on child abuse and it's scars that one carries into adulthood? Or was it how a protective father spares his kids, although one got infected, from his disease leading to the outside world screaming child abuse? Or was it how we've defiled the earth and have to live with the consequences? Regardless, the pulse was flatlined. Boring!!!!
