Masterpiece ...full of reality and Greatness The story unfolds with the German troops in Netherlands who find intrinsic rebellion and hatred from the natives. There's a family having 3 members including Father, daughter and son. Their father is a doctor who is working for German troops and his son on the other hand, is a photographer and a sister at home. The movie gets the load of suspense when the boy is caught capturing the annoyed German soldiers and gets punished- to shoot - after being prisoned for some days. Resultantly, the girl plans to steal the information- such as maps and plan papers- from the camp of Germans and gets to reach in the camps of Allied forces - Britishers and Canadians- which brings about the destruction of Germans and results in the liberation of Walcheren in 1944 that proved to be the greatest step in liberation of Netherlands in may 1945.

The movie is the portrayal of destruction of the commons during the first world war. It tells us - through it's plot - that how Egoistic nature of the leaders from both sides brings about the death of thousands of soldiers. The scenes are completely revolving around the life of soldiers during the battle and their struggle for the basic things such as food and water. During all this, the leaders, on the other hand, keep giving futile instructions and orders to the soldiers in order to win the Battle that unfortunately results in a ceasefire. War ends, Leaders agree to the ceasefire. but the lives of common from both sides remained uncounted.

Highly recommended ! A great movie full of clarity and knowledge. It's about a Norwegian couple - A soldier who fights for his country supported by British and France and a lady fluent in german language who works for the germans when they are in norway aiming to protect his son and live a secure life - who lives for one another regardless of being distant and busy in different activities. As for as story is concerned, it starts with the attack of Germans on Norwegian city of Narvik where they are opposed by the Natives who are supported by French and Britishers. A couple - mentioned above - said to be the protagonist as the plot revolves around their life with the background of war where the boy- who's fighting for Norway - loses his father and got his son injured by the German attacks but still his wife continues working as a translator for Germans in order to survive and they meet in the end of the victory against Hitler's men. The battle of narvik is the greatest battle on the Norwegian land and also called as the first defeat of Hitler.
