Meh…I’m not sure if it’s the pacing of the show but isn’t hitting quite right with me yet. 1st episode seemed to be wasted with another dull plot line about a mcguffin. Which somehow knows where Thrawn is. That makes little sense as who would have produced such a map when Thrawn was thrown randomly into hyperspace at the end of rebels with Ezra.
I fell asleep in episode 2. If this show is meant to save Star Wars then on the basis of what I’ve seen…I’ve got a bad feeling about this. Sadly the show has a lot of the Kathleen Kennedy finger marks on it, I’m tired of the force is female trajectory that Disney has sent Star Wars on. The male characters are dim and incompetent. The female characters just stare and pout at one another and all girl bosses. They have very little character development. The only interesting male character (Baylan) feels very underused at this point.
I’ll give it another episode but the writing is going to have to improve significantly for me to remain invested.
