If you’ve read all of Tolkien’s books, then you’d have a bigger appreciation for this show. There’s so many honorable mentions to the 1st age, many totally canon characters from middle earth history and the acting are great. I can see why people wouldn’t like non-canon characters, but in my opinion, races like the Harfoots who haven’t been so heavily represented in any other stories, it’s like having a magnifying glass on a piece of middle earth and we see all these new characters! Idk man. Stop being so snooty cause you loved Peter Jackson’s adaptation so much. Read all the books and shut up.
