Madonna poor vocal to sing this score. No depth to her voice, just a name to draw upon the youth! How Racist the Industry is! Even progressive Madonna didn’t refuce the part in this movie for apparently there are no Hispanics capable of playing Hispanic roles only white people including Banderas who is Spanish not Hispanic! Go figure

The characters never develop and are devoid of any emotion. Nudity and nosebleeds have replaced displays of emotions. The dance scene is full of lust with little nuance and Emma reacts to Mr. Knightleys proposal with an irritating nosebleed and then a matter of fact shove! This Emma is basically a “MeanGirl” who stays a mean girl throughout the film even bullying Mr. Knightley who deserves to be bullied because he is so easily manipulated! The Director changed the character of Emma to be more like that of Lydia Bennet than a true Emma.
