it is more than coincidental that i should write about this book as Russia is invading Ukraine, this book traces the history of the Bindel family from their early life and the pogroms to the horrors of Auschwitz. it is a fascinating read that sometimes is very heart wrenching yet it is impossible to put down. among the many twists and turns one of the Bindel generations find solace with a German family who hide them in an attic for 2 years. this book is about survival and and hope for a better life and Bernice Rubens portrays it to its utmost.

if you like zydeco, then dont miss this film my feet never stopped moving its a gem not to be missed.
