THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING! As a Black woman in America, I found it uniquely captures the experiences of Black people in America, principally the experiences of Black women. The figurative and literal messaging, imagery, and real life perspective of Black slaves was intriguing. I highly recommend this movie. I further encourage viewers to not watch with any expectations. Allow the movie to tell a story. Many will be disappointed this isn’t a typical “horor” film; but to Black people, it is the ultimate horor.
