Hilarious! Zoolander 2 deserves it's day in the sun. A massively underrated comedy. It's streaming free on Amazon Prime.

Funny, entertaining, and unpredictable. Intense action scenes and great dialogue. Real performances all around. Affleck & Damon make a great duo. They kept the movie under two hours. It's about an hour forty. Wish there were more movies like this. And there were some unexpected surprises. It's a movie I'll watch more than once.

Alex Garland kicked me in the nuts again. Civil War left me rattled. It's a jarring snapshot of a modern day civil war. It could be viewed as an escalated version of the last eight years in the United States, but it's bigger than that; it's an examination of war as a whole. It reminds us that maintaining peace is a balancing act. Society can quickly crumble if peace and mutual respect are not the overriding objectives. The film doesn't take sides or spend much time exploring the conflict of idealogies that instigated the civil war. Instead it holds a mirror up to all of us as if to say, look what we've become, and what we can quickly become if we don't care about each other. Look how quickly peace disentigrates if "winning" and "being right" take precedence over peace. Garland makes great movies. Civil War is a painful and necessary piece of work. The editing and sound design punish the senses. The use of music is twisted and subversive. The entire cast turn in outstanding performances. Visceral and affecting cinematography. It's an outstanding technical achievement and an upsetting emotional experience.

A heartbreaking & horrifying story about working through trauma, grief, guilt, manipulation, & heartbreak. If you've lived a charmed life, this story may not resonate. If you've been through it, it will leave in you tears.

Noisy, tense, emotional, hectic. If the Safdie brothers made a kitchen drama. The performances are outstanding. It’s the best new thing on TV right now.

I love this movie. Funny, moving, hopeful. It’s one I’ll watch again.

One of my favorite movies of all time! I watched it three times when it was in theaters almost twenty years ago and I rewatch it every few years. It’s excellent. Funny, heartbreaking, beautiful.

This is a favorite! I have watched it over & over throughout the years. I put this on my shortlist of all time favorite movies along with Punch-Drunk Love. I can’t believe it worked. If you pitched the premise of this movie to me, I’d say no way, that movie won’t work. But it works and it’s fantastic, real and hilarious. You will laugh, you will cry, you will be better for having watched I Heart Huckabees. “How am I not myself?”

Funny, timely, infuriating. Don’t Look Up reminded me of the bafflement of the last couple of years: intelligent minds offering research, facts & solutions only to be dismissed because the truth is ugly & inconvenient. The tone is uneven in a couple of places, but Don’t Look Up is an angry, funny, & frightening movie. Excellent performances. McKay’s direction is terrific as usual. Recommend it for anyone with half-a-brain or heart.

Beautiful. I loved it. One of those movies I’ll come back to over the years.
