A v sad story that many women will find similar and painful but it felt like Wikipedia pages of ‘70’s & 80’s Australia. Overly descriptive in an eyes rolling way. Having said that I listened to the Audible version and I did not like the narrator. I would have enjoyed it more if Jennifer lived those decades (but not actually experienced poor Maggie’s’ life). I Stayed until the end hoping I could understand the accolades. I did not.
