They tried to create a deeper story, but failed completely. So many stories left behind unexplained, a lack of depth to the characters, and ended so suddenly. I understand that it was supposed to be such a dramatic and deep moment, but it was really a sad attempt at creating a complex moment. Could have been done so much better.
