If 4.5 stars was an option, I'd use that. This movie has a lot of intelligent writing and great acting. Everything works together in this movie. The first time I watched this movie it was in a theater and I like it so much and could envision the acts of a day playing out like in this movie. I watched it twice in the theater. When the movie was released on video tape (Blockbuster for the win!) I rented it to watch it with my then-in-laws who acted holy and upright, they truly disliked this movie and couldn't begin to understand the main character's mentality or reasoning. I liked the movie even more when they disliked it. Great movie, great acting, overall one of my all-time favorites!

Please don't ruin any prior impressions of Bruce Willis with the content of this movie. The movie is probably one of the worst I can recall seeing. I won't go into the reasons, just believe me and save your time. Ouch. Oh, the pain.
