5 Broken Cameras documents the courage, resilience, and determination of Palestinians in a small farming village in the Occupied West Bank of Palestine. The villagers become masters of nonviolent resistance to the brutal Israeli occupation. They creatively adapt their tactics as their occupiers try and thwart them. They are in sharp contrast to the Israeli army, who are afraid of little children, attacking them, arresting them in the middle of the night, and taking them to prison. One cannot escape the feeling that these fearless nonviolent protestors are defending their land against an evil empire.
