I grew up in Bucharest. I go back every year. This movie does not do it justice, nor do I understand its point. The characters are bitter, hopeless, unlikable. I recognized some cultural stereotypes but it was repetitive, vulgar and too long. Just my opinion.

Weird but deep and good! Takes one to The Great Gatsby, Rasputin or Great Expectations and the eternal theme of the plebe crawling his way by every mean possible into the degenerate elites.

Good. Strong character development, slow burn, excellent use of music to convey emotions. Sophisticated and artistic. The kid is a great actor! A bit slow at times. Ending not to my liking.

Beautiful and unique! A roller coaster of emotions.
